10-26 Kansas Storms

After a long day of working and checking the latest forecast discussions here I set at home with nothing close enough to chase. This wasn't completely bad though. I recently downloaded a trial version of GRLevel2 Analyst and was able to get more familiar with it. Below are some images I was able to capture from the program. I know it will do so much more than what I've figured out but...It's still pretty damn cool.

Notice the box around the cells NE of Arkansas City. The next picture is a 3D rendering of those cells.

Unfortunately I did not get home in time to capture 3D images when tornadoes were reported on the ground. I need to play around with the 3D imaging because I know there are ways to see hail cores and different levels of the storm. If I happen to capture any better images than this I'll be sure to upload them.

After spending a little more time I finally figured out how to manipulate the 3D models. This storm had a tornado warning on it at the time I did this. Not sure if anything ever touched down.

This is the same radar scan as above highlighting 60dbz in 3D.

Same scan at 50dbz

I have a feeling I'm going to have to purchase this program before spring. I've been playing with this for two and a half hours now and I feel like I've only scratched the surface.
